HYDERABAD: 191 women teachers reinstated

HYDERABAD, April 22: Sindh Education Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat has reinstated 191 women primary primary teachers of Hyderabad whose services were terminated in 1998.

This was stated by Sindh Teachers' Action Committee chairman Qazi Aminuddin in a statement issued here on Thursday.

Mr Qazi said that the reinstatement orders were issued when a delegation of women teachers called on the education minister. He said reinstatement orders of 52 women secondary teachers and other primary teachers had also been issued.

He said the services of women teachers were reinstated under the orders of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar.

LIBRARY: Sindh University Students Affairs Director Saleh Rajar announced on Thursday that the Allama I.I. Kazi central library would remain open on all Sundays for students. In a notification, he said that during the visit of vice-chancellor to the library, the students requested for the opening of the library on Sundays during the semester examinations.

Accepting the request of the students as well as to facilitate the students during the semester examination, the vice-chancellor has ordered for the opening of the library on all Sundays.
