Clue about terrorists obtained: Durrani

PESHAWAR, April 17: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani said on Saturday that important information has been obtained about those involved in rocket attacks on the city and their designs.

Talking to newsmen at Frontier House after the presentation of the education commission's report, the chief minister said the government would not allow anybody to use the country's land for terrorist activities.

The nefarious designs of such elements would be foiled with an iron hand, he said and added that they should fight their wars from their own countries.

He said terrorists were defaming Islam for their political ends and taking the lives of innocent people.

Replying to a question, the chief minister said certain transfers in the police were due since long and the second round of the transfers would be initiated soon.

In reply to a question, he said he had met the NWFP governor on Friday and there were no differences between the two over the rights of the province.
