Italian PM visits Iraq
ROME, April 10: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi made a surprise trip to Iraq on Saturday to inspect Italian troops stationed in the southern city of Nasiriyah, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.
He arrived here early Saturday aboard an Italian military aircraft. He was due to fly back on the same evening.
Berlusconi met Italian troops there.
Italy has around 3,000 troops in Iraq as part of coalition force.-dpa
