KARACHI, March 28: An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement was killed by unknown persons in Model Colony on Sunday. According to the police, two unknown persons brought a wounded man in a rickshaw at Salman Medical Centre in Moinabad, Model Colony and later disappeared. Doctors pronounced the victim dead on arrival at the medical centre.

Later, the police shifted his body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. Hospital sources said that the victim had suffered internal injuries and had marks of ropes around his wrists.

Police said that the victim was identified as Yameen Sikandar, 35. He was the MQM sector in-charge of Model Colony and a resident of Mohammadi Colony, Khokhrapar.

STABBED: Two men were stabbed to death in separate incidents in the city on Sunday. Police said that a young man was killed in his house in Shah Faisal Colony on Sunday. They said that Khurram Siraj, 35, was stabbed to death three persons, who had barged into his house. After the murder, they fled the crime scene.

According to the police, the victim was jobless and had taken a loan from somebody. The victim's wife lodged a case against unknown persons, they added. In Saeedabad, unknown persons stabbed Mohammad Amin, 40, in the chest outside his house in Sector D-3. The victim was taken to the nearby private hospital, where he died during treatment.

WOUNDED: A policeman was wounded when unknown persons shot at him in Pak Colony. Area police said that Lal Bukhsh, 40, sustained a bullet wound in his leg. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Police suspected some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the incident.

ACCIDENT: A man died in an accident in Jamshed Quarters. Police said that Abdul Rasheed, 35, was crossing a road when an unknown vehicle knocked him down. The injured was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where he died during treatment.

DIES: A two-month-old baby died and her sister sustained injuries when a wall of their house collapsed in Hijrat Colony. Police said that Rabia died on the spot while Nadia, 5, was injured when a wall of their house caved in. Police said that Iqbal was dumping rubble against the wall which collapsed.

They said that the family members had cautioned Iqbal not to dump the debris as the wall could not sustain the pressure. Later, police registered a case against Iqbal on complaint of the victims' parents.
