Wazirabad accident claims 7 lives

GUJRANWALA, March 25: As many seven people, including two women, were killed while 15 others injured, in a road accident in Wazirabad area on Thursday. Two of the injured are said to be in critical position.

The passenger wagon was on way to Wazirabad from Alipur Chattha crashed into a tree in a bid to save a woman who was crossing the road near Mansoorabad village

Two women and three men died on the spot while two succumbed to their injuries on way to the local civil hospital. The wagon crew escaped from the scene. Villagers and police took out the bodies and the injured from wagon and sent them to nearby hospitals.

The condition of Zubaida Bibi and Fiaz Ahmad was stated to be serious. The dead were identified as Kubra Bibi, Kaniz Bibi, Arif, Irfan Haider and Jalil Ahmad. The injured are Zubaida, Irshad, Fiaz, Zohra, Ashraf, Mudassar Iqbal, Nasim Bibi, Najma Bibi, Sarfraz, Navid, Khalid, Zaida Bibi, Adnan, Imtiaz and Ghulam Mustafa.
