Muttahida MPAs hit back at JI

Published March 20, 2004

KARACHI, March 19: MPAs of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, criticizing the statement of Jamaat-i-Islami, have questioned that while the Nazims belonging to the JI were not carrying out any sort of development work in the city, how could the MQM create hurdles in their way.

The statement issued here on Friday, alleged that it was now an open secret that the JI Nazims had been doing nothing but promoting extortion and hooliganism. In order to put a cover on their inefficiency, the JI was levelling silly allegations against the MQM, it added.

The MPAs advised the JI Nazims that "instead of practising their traditional hypocrisy, they should rectify their hypocrite attitude and pay their attention to service to masses." -PPI
