PESHAWAR, March 9: Foolproof arrangements have been finalised to facilitate smooth holding of One-day International (ODI) match between Pakistan and India at Arbab Niaz Stadium on March 19.

This was told to the NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah in a briefing on Monday about the security arrangements for the ODI between Pakistan and India at the provincial metropolis.

The provincial government had already announced March 19 as holiday to facilitate the spectators. The meeting was informed that the Arbab Niaz Stadium had the capacity to accommodate 14080 people.

The PCB, the meeting was told would start sale of tickets for match seven days ahead of the tie. Sale would be stopped two days before the commencement of the match and no ticket would be sold at entry points of the stadium.

Likewise, the meeting was informed that 20 per cent of the total tickets would be sold on the Internet, which will be closed five days before the match. For the sake of better security arrangements, the fans would not be allowed to take sticks, tiffen carriers and mobile phones into the stadium.

The meeting also made it clear that re-entry of the cricket fans would not be permitted and ticket would be valid only for one person and single entry.
