KARACHI: Nazim claims law and order improving


KARACHI, March 8: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that foreign investors are taking interest in Karachi for investment, as the law and order situation has been improved.

He was talking to the participants of National Management Course, Staff College Lahore, who are here in the city on a study tour. DCO Mir Hussain Ali, EDOs finance and planning; works and services; water and sanitation; revenue, enterprise and investment promotion; information technology; DG Karachi Mass Transit Cell and other officials were also present on the occasion.

City Nazim told the delegation that rural-urban divide had been eliminated with the efforts of present local system and all towns were equally treated by city government in all matters.

He said that this had happened for the first time in history of Karachi that all the stakeholders of city were taking part in the development of the city.

He said that Port Qasim, Karachi Port Trust, Steel Mills and Export Promotion Bureau had started working on the development package announced for city, which was going on at full pace whereas other departments were also playing their role in this regard.

"All the credit goes to President Musharraf, who has great affection for Karachi and is taking personal interest in its development," he said. -PPI
