LAHORE, March 3: Pakistan and India have 50-50 chances in the forthcoming Test and One-day series, says former skipper Wasim Akram.

Talking to newsmen after imparting training and giving a lecture to the Pakistan camp's probables at the National Cricket Academy on Wednesday, Wasim said that although the visitors were coming after playing against the World's best team Australia, it would not be easy against Pakistan in Pakistan.

Wasimsaidthat the Indian batting line-up was strong but their bowling was young and inexperienced as compared to the 1999 series when Pakistan toured India.

Similarly, he added Pakistan possessed top quality pacemen in Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami and the return of all-rounder Shahid Afridi was also a good sign.

He said that he taught the boys how they could cope with the pressure. "I told them what I have learnt from legend Imran Khan howto perform under pressure," he said.

Wasim said that he had advised the bowlers to avoid bowling no balls and wides. He appealed to the cricket lovers to show positive attitude towards the visitors to prove this nation has good tradition of hospitality.
