KARACHI: Shaista's appointment as ASI ordered


KARACHI, Jan 21: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Mahar has issued immediate orders for appointment of Shaista Almani as an Assistant Sub-Inspector in police department and directed that she be provided residential facility in Police Lines.

The chief minister issued the orders on an application moved by Shaista Almani in which she had requested for residential facility and a job in police department.

Accepting her request, the chief minister directed the Additional Chief Secretary Home and IG Police to immediately employ Shaista Almani as an ASI alongwith provision of residential facility in Police Lines.

In her application, Shaista had stated that she was an unfortunate girl from Pano Aqil, who had married with her free will to a young man of Mahar tribe Balakh Sher. However, the couple was threatened to be killed.

She stated that she had no place to live with her family, as their life was in danger. She requested the chief minister in her application to provide her a job in the police department, where she would feel secure and also order arrangement of a flat on permanent basis for her and her family in Karachi.

Accepting her request, the CM issued orders for her appointment as ASI alongwith provision of accommodation. -APP
