WB-IFC fact-finding mission


ISLAMABAD, Jan 8: The government was committed to improving the private sector by facilitating them for increasing their productivity and efficiency.

Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Minister for Privatization & Investment said in a meeting with World Bank/IFC Foreign Investment Advisory Service (FIAS) Mission, led by James Crittle, Task Leader here on Thursday.

The minister asked the visiting delegation to conduct a detailed survey of around 500 industrial units to identify the problems and issues pertaining to product registration, taxation, labour and other related matters to complete their recommendations in collaboration with the Board of Investment (BoI) by holding a joint workshop latest by April this year for creating more business and investment friendly environment on fast track basis.-APP
