Woman kills 10-year son

TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 18: A woman axed to death her 10-year-old son and injured another because of what police said her frustration over altercations with husband at a village, about 40 kilometres from here, on Thursday morning.

Reports said farmer Zahoor Ahmad’s wife Shahnaz Bibi attacked her sons — Muhammad Sajid and Muhammad Arshad — when they were asleep early in the morning. Sajid died within few minutes. However, her minor daughter woke up and ran out of the house for her life.

Kamalia Saddar police have arrested the woman, who claimed that she was upset over frequent altercations with her husband. The police are investigating.

CAR TAKEN AWAY: Robbers in the guise of police took away a car of a landlord near Pul Jorian on the Sindhlianwali Road on Thursday night.

According to reports, Mian Iqbal Husain and his driver were on their way to a place when a car overtook their four-wheeler (VRF-8312).

Five robbers in that car intercepted them, introducing them as policemen. They took away the car after dragging the two men out of their vehicle near Pul Jorian in Arouti police station precinct.
