KARACHI, Nov 10: Eight ships carrying containers, chemicals and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where four ships, Izumo, Zeus-11 to unload and load containers, Galina-4 to unload DAP fertilizer and Gemini to offload steel cargo were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Madre, Wan Hai-302, Kota Teraju, PONL Mahe, Global Prosperity, Flame, and Chemstar Moon, while Zeus-1, Gemini-1, Izumo, Orient Stride, Chemstar Princess and Taraman Bibi are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest as total tonnage fell to 42,686 tons comprising 5,923 tons of export cargo and 36,962 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Katsina, Kota Wangi, Sinar Bangka, APL Shan Ghai, Corin Thaikos, with containers, Chem Bulk Yokohama, to load 15,000 tons of naphtha, Nur Yanbu and Thui with chemicals.
