KARACHI, Oct 31: Three ships carrying containers, general cargo and steel coils are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where only three ships, Al-Mirqab, Corin Thaikos and Astor were berthed to unload and load containers after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Al-Mirqab, Hyundai Advance, Mercs Sajinda, and Addarraq, while Norasia Bavaria, Astor and Oriental Bright are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of liquid tonnage, totalling 87,485 tons.

The export cargo totalled 13,173 tons and the imported cargo 74,292 tons including 47,354 tons of oils.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Kaghan, with general cargo, Iwato, with containers and Handy Silver, with steel coils.
