Court staffer accused of blackmail

NAWABSHAH, Oct 9: A man, Zahid Pervez Arain, has alleged that stenographer Mohammad Ali has demanded Rs30,000 from him to grant bail to his son, Amjad.

Speaking at a press conference, he said when he refused to pay the bribe, Mohammad Ali threatened him with rejection of his son’s bail even from the Sindh High Court.

He said the court employee then asked him to sign a blank document which he refused to do so and complained to the director human rights. On this, he alleged, Mohammad Ali threatened to kill him.

He appealed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan to provide him justice and take action against the stenographer of a local court.
