PESHAWAR, Sept 29: A number of law graduates will not be able to appear in the Public Service Commission examination for the posts of civil judge on Oct 17, due to alleged violation of a notification.
The provincial establishment and administration department had issued a notification on Sept 9, asking the Public Service Commission to relax the age limit by five years for the law graduates.
The commission has refused to do so, according to the Students’ Action Committee, stating that it had received the notification after the advertisement of the posts. A number of candidates have been declared overage.
The committee’s president expressed concern over the commission’s attitude and said it was violating the government’s orders. He claimed that the commission had received the orders before the advertisement.
The affected students have demanded that the government should implement its orders and instruct the commission to issue roll numbers to them.—PPI
