KARACHI, Sept 22: Six vessels carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was light because of slow arrivals. As a result, only two ships, Iwato to unload and load containers and Warbah to offload high speed diesel were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Wan Hai-303, Orient Stride and Kota Tegap, while Iwato, Warbah, Mary Laki and Mercs Kandy are due to sail out on Tuesday. Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 76,587 tons comprising 2,887 tons of export cargo and 73,700 tons of import tonnage including 61,981 tons of oils was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Eax Sanctity, APL Cairo, Corn Tihakos, Pu He, Kota Waris and Hammurabi, with containers.
