55th death anniversary of Quaid today

ISLAMABAD, Sept 10: The 55th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of the Nation, will be observed on Thursday with devotion and reverence.

The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for eternal peace to the soul of Quaid-i-Azam.

Throughout the day, people from all walks of life, including top government functionaries and political leaders and workers, will visit the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi to lay wreaths and offer Fateha.

Various organizations will hold functions to highlight different aspects of the life and character of the Quaid who led the Muslims of the Subcontinent in a long struggle to create a separate homeland.

Television and radio channels will broadcast special programmes to apprise people, especially the young generation, about the Father of the Nation.

Newspapers will take out special supplements, highlighting personality of Quaid-i-Azam.—APP
