KARACHI: Food samples collected


KARACHI, Aug 31: The anti-adulteration department of city government has collected 109 samples of food for examination from various outlets.

According to a statement issued by the city government on Sunday, the samples were collected from fast food chains, restaurants, outlets of ice cream dealers, general stores, bakeries, milk shops and sweet marts.

The markets, where raids were conducted included those of Burnes Road, Memon goth, Shah Faisal Colony and Hussainabad.

The samples have been sent for examination to the food laboratory of the city government. Action would be taken against those shopkeepers found in adulteration after receipt of report. —APP
