Carrying, display of arms banned
GHALANAI, Aug 30: The political administration of Mohmand Agency has placed a ban on the display and carrying of arms at marketplaces and towns of the agency.
The ban was enforced on the directives of Political Agent Sahibzada Mohammad Anees to improve the law and order situation in the tribal agency, officials said.
An agreement, sources said, had been signed between the political authorities and tribal leaders, prohibiting display and carrying of arms in the agency headquarters, Ghalanai, in bazars and other public places.
