PESHAWAR, Aug 26: Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) is in the process of getting registered with the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) in order to protect its staff at the radiology department from harmful exposure to radiations emitted by the X-ray machines.
A spokesman for the HMC, while clarifying a news item, said the hospital was not on the list of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) subscribers who were provided with the Film Badge Service.
He denied that a senior radiologist of the hospital had issued any statement regarding the fact that the PAEC had refused to provide the said service.— Bureau
