PESHAWAR, Aug 25: Police arrested two bandits and recovered from them two pistols and cash that they had snatched at gunpoint from an army official here on Sunday.

An official said that the police held two criminals and recovered from their possession the money that they had looted, apart from the pistols they used in the crime. The bandits were identified as Khan Roz, son of Mohammad Roz, resident of Akhunabad, Shaheen Muslim town, Peshawar and Tufail, son of Mohammad Ayub, resident of Parang, Charsadda.

 Khan Roz was arrested on the spot, while Tufail was held during a raid on a house in Gulbahar in Peshawar.

When the police reached the spot along with the army official, one of the criminals fired a shot at the police.
