‘Fata to get telecom facilities’


ISLAMABAD, Aug 24: Minister for Information Technology Awais Ahmed Khan Laghari pledged on Saturday that the government would use all available resources to provide telecommunication facilities to the residents of tribal areas.

“We are launching projects such as wireless local loop and satellite PCOs to provide telecommunication facilities to the people living the far- flung areas like areas like Fata,” he said during a meeting with a delegation of Khyber Union Bara Khyber Agency which met the minister under the leadership of Senator Hamidullah Afridi.

The delegation apprised the minister of the problems of their area.—APP
