PESHAWAR, July 22: Parliamentarians from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) have hailed the scheduled dialogue between the government and opposition on the contentious issues of the Legal Framework Order (LFO), and termed it a positive development for the political process in the country.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, the MNAs from the tribal areas discussed the present political situation during a meeting.

The meeting believed that the forthcoming talks would create a situation conducive for the larger national interest. It, however, said that if the talks failed, the issue of the LFO could be solved through a jirga.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Mohammad Sadiq, Maulana Naik Zaman, Pirzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Dr G.G. Jamal, Dr Naseem Afridi and Dr Sayed Javed Hussain.
