LAHORE: Probe urged into murder

LAHORE, July 5: The National Commission for Justice and Peace has urged Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbul and Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to order an inquiry into the cold-blooded murder of Father George Ibrahim at Renala Khurd and bringing of the murderers to justice.

Commission Chairman Bishop Lawrence Saldhana said in a statement that the Christian community was deeply shocked over the murder of the priest who had devoted his life to the selfless service of the poor and the downtrodden. He offered his condolences to the bereaved family.
