ISLAMABAD, June 6: Pakistan Television and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) have made special arrangements to telecast and broadcast budget speech of Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz live from the National Assembly without noise of the opposition leaders protest.

Sources told Dawn that the sound system of the National Assembly had been modified and through a special and modern technique, the noise of the opposition protest would not go on air. The sources said this type of technology would be used for the first time during the National Assembly session.

The arrangements have been made after the government showed its determination to present the federal budget on the floor of the National Assembly despite announcements by the opposition leaders that they would not let the government present budget without resolving the issue of Legal Framework Order (LFO).

The opposition parties on Friday announced to continue their protest in the National Assembly during the budget speech.
