21 stage artistes held

GUJRANWALA, May 3: At least 21 stage performers, including eight actresses, were arrested for dancing and yelling obscenities here on Saturday.

Acting on an information that some artistes were exhibiting vulgarity on the stage, DPO Saud Aziz directed the Sabzi Mandi police to conduct a raid and arrest them.

Vulgar dances and objectionable dialogues were being used in a drama when the police raided there.

Police have registered a case against them and are investigating.
