By Our Correspondent

TOBA TEK SINGH, April 26: The District Bar Association’s executive committee on Saturday deplored tehsil Nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq’s ‘misbehaviour’ with a former DBA secretary-general.

At a meeting chaired by DBA President Chaudhry Muhammad Anwaar, the association passed a resolution, criticizing the Nazim’s attitude towards former DBA secretary-general Chaudhry Tanvir Husain and a fake case registered against him.

The participants also discussed the requisition filed by 61 DBA members for calling the association general body meeting to decide future line of action over the issue. The date of meeting will be decided on Monday.

Meanwhile, the district and sessions judge granted pre-arrest bail to Tanvir Husain till May 7, and sought the record of the case from the city police.

The case was registered under sections 186, 188, 190, 228, 353, 355 and 506 PPC on the application of the tehsil Nazim, who accused the DBA official of attacking him on his refusal to accept a lawyer’s plea.

According to the Nazim, MPA Chaudhry Liaquat Ali Shaukat and councillor Muhammad Jamil were present at his office at the time of the incident.
