Taliban kill 2 soldiers


SPIN BOLDAK, April 23: Two Afghan government soldiers and three suspected Taliban fighters were killed when the latter ambushed a patrol in the south of the country, a senior official said.

The incident was the latest in a series of recent clashes between US and Afghan government troops and suspected Taliban guerillas along the border with Pakistan.

The governor of Uruzgan province, Jan Mohammad Khan, said the clash took place on Monday night. —Reuters
