Teachers’ protest convention today

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 20: The Punjab Professors and Lecturers’ Association, Rawalpindi division, will hold a protest convention on Monday against the formation of regulatory authority of the board of governors in universities and denationalization of educational institutions.

Teachers and students as well as central leadership of the association will participate in the convention to be held on the premises of Gordon College at 10am.

“We will render every sacrifice to protect educational institutions from the onslaught of the government’s denationalization process,” said chairman of the joint action committee Mohammad Ilyas Qureshi at a gathering of students and teachers from Gordon and Asghar Mall colleges, according to a press statement.
