JACOBABAD, April 17: Former Speaker National Assembly Illahi Bux Soomro on Thursday termed the Legal Framework Order supra- judicial, saying that the government was bound to introduce it in the Assembly and get it passed by a two-third majority if it was to be made part of the Constitution.
He said that despite the passage of six months, there had been no legislation in the national assembly, adding that it was a “hung Parliament.”
Stressing the need for unifying various factions of the Pakistan Muslim League, Mr Soomro said that party’s unity was essential for stability.
Deploring the law and order situation, he said that it cast a negative impact on the government’s image.
He said that tribal feuds were on the rise and the Kashmor killings were a traumatic reminder of the same.
Mr Soomro condemned the US-led attack on Iraq, saying it was unjustified.
