Educationist dies


QUETTA, April 15: A former provincial education minister and pro vice-chancellor of the Balochistan University, Dr Razia Babar, died on Tuesday. She was 67. She was suffering from cancer.

She remained the education minister for two years from October 1999 before resigning due to differences over government policies. She was appointed pro vice-chancellor of the university last year. She was laid to rest in Cantonment graveyard.—Staff Correspondent
