SANGHAR, April 15: The district education officer (colleges) has suspended the clerk of the Government Girls College, Zaria Khan, on Tuesday for embezzling the enrolment fees of at least 57 students.

The bungling was detected when the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Hyderabad, rejected the examination forms of these students.

Ever since he remained absent from duty and had sent an application for leave.

The district education officer ordered his suspension and asked him to report at the EDO office.

A committee is also being formed for probing into the allegations.

FORMS ACCEPTED: Meanwhile, the BISE, Hyderabad, has accepted the examination forms on provisional basis.

So far these students have not received their admit cards for the HSC examination, which will commence from April 24.
