Three minors drown in Chenab

GUJRAT, April 14: Three minor boys drowned in the river Chenab near the bridge on Monday.

Ali, 15, of Moeenuddinpur, Ali Mirza, 7, and Husain, 14, had gone to the river for a picnic. They jumped into the river to take a bath but swept away by the river.

Divers recovered the body of Ali while bodies of the remaining two were still missing.

SHOT DEAD: A youth was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists near GTS chowk on Monday.

Ghulam Abbas of Bega Banian was intercepted by the motorcyclists who sped away after killing him.

Motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.
