SUKKUR, April 9: The development work in the Kati Bazaar has been halted because of the use of sub-standard material.

The order for suspension of work was issued by acting district Nazim of Sukkur Iqbal Dawood, who visited sites of various ongoing development schemes, including the work on the Civil Hospital Road via Kumhar Paro, Reti Lane and Bihar Colony.

He was accompanied by taluka Nazim Syed Kazim Ali Shah on the occasion.

The acting Nazim, while expressing displeasure over the quality of work at the Kati Bazaar, asked officers of the concerned departments to maintain strict monitoring of the quality of work on the ongoing development schemes.
