Dry weather predicted


ISLAMABAD, April 4: The meteorological department here on Friday predicted mainly dry weather in most parts of the country with rain at a few places in Kashmir and adjoining areas in the next 24 hours.

According to the met office, isolated rains occurred in upper Punjab and Kashmir during the past 24 hours. Kotli received 22mm rain, Chakwal 18mm, Kalam 12mm, Mangla 6mm, Mianwali 11mm, Rawala Kot 10mm, Kohat 3mm, Jhelum 2mm, Bala Kot 1mm and Lahore 1mm. The highest temperature of 40 degree Celsius was recorded at Chhor on Friday whereas the lowest temperature of 3 degree Celsius was recorded at Murree.

Partially cloudy weather is expected at Islamabad, Gilgit, and Lahore with chances of rain and thunderstorm at Muzaffarabad and Murree. The weather will remain dry at Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi.—APP
