TOBA TEK SINGH, April 2: A man killed his daughter and her lover in a village near Pirmahal on Wednesday.
Police said Muhammad Ali saw his daughter and her lover Sarfraz Ali in objectionable condition in his house in Mauza Chountra Sargana, some 45 kilometres from here.
He axed his daughter to death on the spot while Sarfraz escaped. The accused axed Sarfraz to death in his house.
Arrouti police arrested the accused.
EXCAVATION ORDERED: Civil Judge Haji Muhammad Ahmad of Gojra ordered on Wednesday excavation of the grave of a woman for postmortem.
Abida Parveen had died under mysterious in Tariqabad Colony of Gojra. Her parents had alleged in an application submitted to the judge that their daughter had been murdered by her in-laws and buried her hurriedly.
The judge also ordered the medical superintendent of the district headquarters hospital to constitute a medical board to conduct the postmortem.
ARRESTED: Gojra City police raided many shops in the town on Wednesday and caught four men red-handed while selling prize bond number chits.
Muhammad Shahzad was arrested from Husainia Colony, Muhammad Yasin from Chak No 163 GB, Muhammad Asif from Ashraf Colony and Fayyaz Ahmad from Imam Bargah street.
FOUND DEAD: An unidentified young woman was recovered dead from a minor near Chak No 241 GB, Bahram Wala, on Wednesday.
Villagers spotted the body and informed Saddar police who took it into custody.
