Medicines’ donation for FGSH

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 2: A leading importer of medicines and medical equipment donated medicines worth US$ 20,000 to the Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH) at a ceremony held here on Wednesday.

The medicines, which were donated by Syed Ilyas Rizvi to the health ministry, were mostly the anti-biotics.

The health minister, Mohammad Nisar Khan, who also attended the ceremony, said keeping in view the outstanding record of the FGSH, the ministry decided to award the donation to this institution, which probably was the only one left in the country from where basic and life-saving drugs were still being provided to the patients free of cost.

The minister urged the doctors and staff not to indulge in any ‘politics’ and pay utmost attention to their professional duties.
