By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, March 20: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousaf has taken serious notice of the involvement of personal staff of his ministers in illegal transfers and postings of government officials and directed an investigation into the matter.

“Personal staff officials of the ministers are defaming the cabinet and the provincial government through such irregularities,” Jam Yousaf said talking to newsmen on Tuesday. He said he had received information that the staff attached with some ministers was engaged in such activities.

He directed the ministers and authorities concerned to take strict action against the officials involved.

Replying to a question, he said his government was giving full attention to maintenance of law and order in the province and would fulfil its responsibilities for protecting the life and property of the people.

He said he had sent a letter to all the members of the provincial assembly to take them into confidence on the issue and ask them to give suggestion for improvement in the law and order situation.

Replying to a question, he said his government was taking steps for giving ownership rights to landless peasants and the revenue department had been asked to complete legal formalities in this regard.

He said granting of ownership rights to the peasants would help in promoting agriculture and raising their standard of living.

The chief minister said that after the completion of the Gwadar deep sea port project, all the people of the area would get jobs and if the required people were not available there, those from other areas of the province would be employed.

He said the master plan of the project had been prepared.
