By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, March 20: People have expressed resentment over the increase in domicile fee by the Punjab government and asked chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi to intervene and solve the issue.

The domicile fee has been increased from Rs40 to Rs200, burdening the people, specially the poor population, a number of domicile seekers at the district courts told this reporter.

Allah Bakhsh, who had come to receive domicile for his son, said after passing through a tiresome process, it cost him Rs500 to get the document.

He said the increase in fee had made the acquiring of domicile almost impossible for the poor.
