Flying of hang-gliders, kites banned


ISLAMABAD, March 3: The district magistrate, Islamabad, on Monday prohibited flying of hang gliders, kites and remote control aircraft within the jurisdiction of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

The district magistrate, Islamabad, Tariq Mehmood Khan, in his order issued under Section 144 CrPC, also prohibited spectators and general public standing on roof tops to witness Muharram processions passing through various areas.

These orders, necessary in order to prevent danger to public peace and tranquillity, shall immediately take effect and will remain in force for a period of two months, he added. — APP
