ACAPULCO (Mexico), March 2: Argentina’s Agustin Calleri won his first ATP title after almost eight years on the professional circuit on Saturday when he beat compatriot Mariano Zabaleta in a dramatic Mexican Open final.
In the women’s event, second seed Amanda Coutzer of South Africa and unseeded Argentine Mariana Diaz-Oliva reached final.
Coutzer cruised to a 6-3 6-4 win over Emilie Loit of France while Diaz-Oliva finally ended the surprising progress of Japan’s Shinobu Asagoe, winning 6-1 6-7 (5-7) 6-1.
