KARACHI, Feb 28: Five ships carrying DAP fertilizer, chemicals and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, India Star, Al-Mirqab, and Sima Bahar to unload and load containers, Bow Sky to unload tallow and Bow Chain to load molasses were berthed after the departure of two. The sailing was on the other was slow as only two ships, India Star and Challenge Express departed, while Bow Sky, MOL Sincerity, Sima Bahar, Bow Viking, Bow Chain, Korea Star and Banglar Mookh are expected to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 67,923 tons comprising 38,377 tons of export cargo including 1,564 tons of rice and 20,400 tons of molasses and 29,564 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Stolt Sea, with chemical (MEG), PONL Mahe Jamila, Izumo, with containers and Hugo Oldendroff, with 41,908 tons of DAP fertilizer.
