KARACHI: SBC elects office-bearers

KARACHI, Jan 27: The new vice-chairman and other office-bearers of the Sindh Bar Council for the year 2003 were elected unopposed on Sunday.

According to a press release issued by the SBC on Monday, Muhammad Yasin Azad of Karachi was elected vice-chairman, Ghulam Dastagir A. Sultan of Dadu/ Kotri chairman of the council’s executive committee, Muhammad Sarfraz Khan of Karachi chairman of the disciplinary committee and Muhammad Siddique Khoso chairman of the advocates benevolent fund committee.

The SBC meeting at which the office-bearers were elected and which disposed of other items on its agenda was presided over by Sindh Advocate-General Anwar Mansoor Khan, who is ex-officio chairman of the council.
