LAHORE, Jan 3: Tailenders batted with responsibility to help Servis Industries reach 258 in their first innings against Lahore Blues in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Group-I at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.

At stumps, Lahore Blues were 32 for two.

Earlier, Servis’ last pair of Nafees Ahmed (33 not out) and Imran Adil (34) put on 63 after the visitors resumed at 142 for four.

Sufian Munir, who was forced to retire hurt on Thursday after making 51, scored 67. Rizwan Ahmed, who was hit on the nose by Mohammad Khalil was unable to resume his innings.

Khalil took one more wicket this morning to finish with five for 104.

In other matches, an unbeaten 117 by Mohammad Zaman and knock of 55 by Tauqir Hussain gave Faisalabad a lead of 215 runs lead over Sargodha.

Replying to Sargodha’s first innings score of 122, Faisalabad made 337 for seven with Zaman and Tauqir adding 116 for the seventh-wicket.

At Lahore Country Club, National Bank struggled to 104 for seven in 35 overs against Wapda after no play was possible on Thursday because of fog.
