PPP delays action against deserters

ISLAMABAD, Dec 31: The parliamentary party of People’s Party Parliamentarians on Tuesday decided to defer legal action against the party deserters till the Senate elections.

The parliamentary party meeting, held here at a committee room of the Parliament House, was attended by 56 members and lasted for four hours.

The members criticised those who had left the party “at a crucial juncture.”

The party nominated Khurshid Shah as the chief whip of the parliamentary party who would be deputized by Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Anwer Bhutto and Shugufta Jummani. The party formed a committee to coordinate with other opposition parties.
