One killed as train derails

SARGODHA, Dec 31: One peron was killed and three injured when Karachi-bound Chenab Express hit a truck at an unmanned level-crossing, some 40km from here on Tuesday.

According to reports reaching here, the accident took place due to fog near Chak No 5, Bhalwal.

Kodo, the truck conductor, died on the spot while driver Ashiq Hussain and two others sustained serious injuries.

Two bogies of the train were also derailed and some passengers were slightly injured. The truck was totally smashed.
