Revenue officials suspended
DADU, Dec 12: The Mukhtiarkar, Thana Bula Khan, Qadir Bux Bhatti, and a Tapedar, Mohammad Moosa Solangi, of the revenue department were suspended on Thursday on the report of the DCO, Dadu, that they had changed state land records of Dadu district.
The district coordination officer, A. Ditto Shar, sent a report to senior member, Board of Revenue, Manzoor Ahmed Bhutto, against the Mukhtiarkar, Thana Bula Khan, Qadir Bux Bhatti, and a Tapedar, Mohammad Moosa Solangi.
The report said that both the officials had changed records of 3,000 acres of state land in the jurisdiction of Thana Bula Khan and Karachi in the name of influential people after taking bribes.
The member, Board of Revenue, after receiving the report issued show cause notices and suspended both the officials.
DEFAULTERS: The district coordination officer, Dadu, A. Ditto Shar, has said that an amount of Rs8 million loan of WHO would be recovered from 200 defaulters of Sehwan Sharif Taluka and more basic facilities would be provided to the poor people of the Taluka.
He was addressing a seminar organized by the WHO at the Taluka hospital, Sehwan, on Thursday.
The DCO said that the district government would cooperate with WHO teams which were working under the Basic Development Needs programme consisting of eight union councils of Sehwan Taluka.
The executive district officer, (health), Dadu, Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, who is also the manager of the Basic Development Needs programme, disclosed that 11 women vocational centres had been established in Sehwan Taluka under the Basic Development Needs programme.
Dr Khadim said that 200 toilets would be constructed and 100 hand pumps would be distributed among the poor people of Manchhar Lake and its surrounding areas.
He said that more small loans would be provided to the people of Sehwan Sharif Talukas so that they could establish their business.
Dr Asai, WHO medical officer, announced that 22 embroidery machines and 33 sewing machines would be distributed among women in the vocational centres.
Speaking on the occasion, WHO economist Dr F. H. Khattak said that WHO would extend this programme to other areas of Dadu district after completing the project in Sehwan Taluka.
