PESHAWAR, Nov 27: A juvenile court here on Wednesday released a juvenile offender on probation who was convicted of drug pushing.

The court, presided over by the district and sessions judge, Ziauddin Khattak, sentenced the boy of 13, Munawar Khan, to four years imprisonment.

However, keeping in view his age the court directed that he should be released on probation and handed over to his father on furnishing two sureties of Rs200,000 each.

The boy, resident of Sheikh Mohammadi, was arrested by the Gulbahar  police on April 18. They had recovered 8 kilograms of charas from him.

He was charged under the Control of Narcotics Substance Act.
