KARACHI: Chinese CNG bus plant

Published November 7, 2002

KARACHI, Nov 6: A prominent Chinese automobile company, FAW, has decided to establish an automobile manufacturing plant in Karachi, where CNG buses will be manufactured.

A four-member delegation of senior FAW officials called on city Nazim Naimatullah Khan and gave him a briefing on the company’s operations.

The Nazim was informed that the company would make an investment of several million dollars and 200 persons would be immediately employed.

It was decided that four buses of the Green Bus Company would be granted route soon. The delegation announced they would ply the buses free of charge during the first week of their launching, as a Ramazan gift to Karachiites.
